I saw a great presentation by Jim Tierny of Digital Anarchy at an MGLA meeting a while back where he did some incredible time lapse photography using a DSLR and an intervalometer. I had it capture 0.5 seconds of footage for every 30 seconds... it ended up shooting a little more than a minute per hour. Then we sped it up considerably to get the final 1:20 or so, made some music in Garage Band, and voila!
