I saw the Matrix last night, and I must say that I was impressed. The effects were amazing, the plot progressed well, and the characters became more developed. I really can’t wait for the third… It’s funny that when I think of the Matrix, the first one, I sometimes forget the great unexpected twist that came when the “Matrix” was revealed to Neo. It was actually a very good concept and story, and I think it gets lost a bit in the special effects and overall coolness of the film.

I haven’t actually had time to really use the G3 yet. Hopefully I will be able to put it to use this weekend… Maybe I’ll go to Downtown Disney or something. I still am far from overcoming my fear of taking strangers’ pictures on the street. The other day when I walked around Old Town Orange there were two old ladies walking home with each other, and I didn’t even have the guts to ask if they’s mind if I took a photo or two of them. I’ve always been good with people, I don’t understand why I can’t just get the guts to just talk to them and ask. Oh well, I hope I will overcome this obstacle eventually, otherwise a lot of ideas I have will never see fruition. My Orange County project certainly won’t go too well without some good people shots…

I’ve been tinkering with the site, and going through and trying to update the little things here and there that need updating, and I realize that I’d really like to redesign the site, but I have no idea what to do. I had originally taken a very minimalist approach, and I think I’ve kept with that intent, and I still like it. I just wish it could be very minimalist in a more interesting way. The original idea was that I would like to let my images speak for themselves, but now I have to ask myself, what images? Well, maybe I’ll make some changes, and maybe I won’t. I would have to learn more about programming if I want to make the site easy to update and change using asp pages, so that may never happen. It’s not like I have so much damn stuff to show that I haven’t the time to post it, so I don’t think that will be a problem. I guess we’ll just have to see how it all turns out…

As usual, UPS has screwed me and not delivered on their promised date. That’s why I always choose FedEx, they’re just better. Unfortunately I was told it would be shipped FedEx then found that it went UPS instead. So the camera should arrive today, then it’s time to go out and shoot some stuff…

Woohoo! I am now the proud new owner of one Canon Powershot G3. I went out to try and get some test shots done before it got too dark, but didn’t get anything too interesting. One thing I have noticed is how right all the reviews have been about the grain at the higher ISOs. It’s pretty bad. I’m planning on getting NeatImage, though, so that should help out. Also, I think that anything that I have to shoot at ISO 400 I’ll just end up converting to black and white… because I don’t like grain (or noise, I should say) in color photos. The camera is pretty intuitive, all the controls seem pretty easy to access. So far, I like it! I need to get out and do some good shooting though. I’m thinking of convincing Lan to go out with a couple of tripods tonight and do some night shooting. 15 second exposures should be pretty cool. I just need to be careful of being mistaken as a terrorist. While I walked around Old Towne Orange people did look at me funny as I snapped shots of some buildings. Damn terrorists, they affect more than we realize.

Someplace In Time
Huffy

So although I didn’t produce anything all that special yet, I guess that shouldn’t surprise me, since I never really got anything that good before either.

I’m sitting at an open house as I write this into my handheld, and I am very bored. No one has stopped by yet and I have a feeling that not many people will. Oh well, that’s what I get for choosing to get into real estate.

My G3 should arrive on Monday, so that is definitely something to look forward to. Well, I guess it’s time for me to play Revesi.
